I sourced all of the following images from Tumblr and We Heart It, but there are plenty of high street stores that have been designing clothing pieces and ranges that are similar to these. It's abit of a boho trend and definitely started from Vanessa Hudgens outfits at the Coachella music festival in California. New Look, Zara and Miss Selfridge have had some lovely cream lace cami tops and crochet knits, and even Next has had some really stylish pieces recently too! If you're looking for a little bit of online shopping inspiration, try ASOS, Missguided or Boohoo!
These crochet knit tops are ideal for wearing over bikinis & swimwear or can be paired with denim shorts to create a soft and feminine look. The longer beach dresses are so easy and are ideal as a cover-up for your bikini or for wearing out for lunch or on summer days when the weather is nice (although we probably won't have many of these left in the UK!).
I think it's a good idea to keep the accesories simple with crochet lace styles as the patterns and materials of the clothes have most of the impact and you don't want to take away from that too much. A floral headband, a simple gold or silver statement necklace and some rustic style bangles. Matte white nails also look lush with this look!
If you're looking for something a little brighter and more vibrant, then why not try adding a pair of these gorgeous pompom shorts! These high-waisted shorts are available in so many different colours, patterns and prints that they are definitely worth buying! Tropical prints, roses and even these cute little pineapple patterns are all very on-trend for the summer and the brilliant thing about crochet lace styles in white is that any colour goes! The pompom detailing and fringing around the bottom of the shorts add something a little different to any outfit!
What do you think of the pompom & crochet knit trend? Do you have any key pieces?
With love,
Karen
